Day 24

Tuesday 6th April

Oh, yippee...  I was right We ARE going somewhere.  Mummy helped me pack my bag.  What clothes will I need?.  I'm not sure where we are going or how long we are going for... Just what do I take????

There seems to be a lot of things in my bag, Mummy.   I'll need my new red spotty coat.  It's good for travelling and just in case the weather gets cooler.
Hahaha.  I packed so much I had to sit on my bag so Daddy could close it.
Nanny, I need a bigger bag....

Hahaha .... No Honey Bunny..You can't go in there. That's just for my clothes....

Hey hey..... Well I'm ready... when do we go?   Come on Honey.........
Mummy and Nanny are fussing about packing bags and boxes.. I want to go  NOW...
At last ...... we are in the car... and  Nanny is coming too... .  Why does it take so long... Are we there yet?.. I think I will have a little nap while we are driving.

And look here we are.. at last..... When I wake up we are  in BENDIGO

Day 23

Monday 9th April.

Something is happening!!!!

Mummy has got my travel bag out so I think I might be going somewhere exciting.

Mummy and Daddy went shopping with me this morning and we stopped off at Kids Mania for a while too.  I think Daddy enjoyed it because that was his first visit there.  I showed him how I could get up and down the slide all by myself.

Mummy didn't take my travel bag with us so I don't think that was where we are going to..

Maybe I'll find out tomorrow.  If we ARE going somewhere I hope Honey Bunny and Teddy can come too because they are my best friends.

Day 22

Monday 2nd April

Hooray.  Hooray.  Mummy's coming home today.  I am so excited.....   I was up early again to day ready for Mummy... Today is going to be a long day....  but very special

I had some books to return to the library so Nanny and I were off early in the car.  Nanny drove to the library near the big shopping centre but it was closed.  You should have heard Nanny.  She is so funny.  They do some things strangely here in Melbourne she said..  Imagine having the library closed on a Monday..  Anyway we drove to a closer library on Barkly Street just near 'Jelly Bread'.  It was terrific. There were so many books there just for me.

I must tell you something really funny.  I started reading out the letters on the labels for the groups of kids books.   I read A-G and H-L and M-R and S-Z.  There was a little boy with his mother and father reading nearby and they just watched me. ... Then I read all the letters on the beautiful blue mat on the library floor.  When I came back to Nanny the mother looked very surprised and asked Nanny how old I was.   Nanny said 20 months... I hope that was right.   I thought it was funny and Nanny looked very pleased.  She said I was showing off but was smiling at the same time... What does that mean Nanny?  I don't understand you sometimes.

They had so many books there... I just couldn't decide what to borrow so Nanny chose them for me.  She got 7 books for me and 3 talking books for herself.  I've never heard a book 'talk'.  Have you?  I liked that library so much.  I hope we can go back again.... Nanny?? May be Mummy or Daddy would like to go with me too one day.  I have so many things to show and tell them when they get back... Hurry up?!

Mummy's HOME......   Nighty Night...

Day 21

Sunday 1st April

Ah.. Sunday... My favourite day of the week.  I wonder what I'll be doing today.   Something with my family I hope.

I woke up at my usual time... 7-15 and Nanny looked really tired when she got me up.  She said something about Day Light Saving.  I don't know what she was talking about.  Funny Nanny.   I just don't understand her at times.

First I had a quite time with my bears.   I read Big Teddy a story called 'Monkey See, Monkey Zoo!'  He liked the page about the seal clapping.  I showed him how you could make his flippers clap in and out.  Panda was reading my 'Fun with Colours' book.  His favourite pages were 'Black and White'.  Panda used to live with Mummy when she was a little girl.  Aren't I  lucky that he lives with me now?  Then I read Big Teddy my book called 'That's Not My Lion'.  I think he liked it the best.  Mummy and Daddy read that to me before I go to bed.  I miss Mummy and Daddy.

Nanny said I should to go outside and get some fresh air so I decided to take Teddy for a stroll.  It wasn't very sunny but I wore my zoo hat just in case the sun came out.

Nanny said that Mummy is coming home tomorrow.  I just can't wait.... I think I'll go to bed early tonight to make her come home sooner...  See you soon Mummy...  Nighty Night...

Day 20

Saturday 31st March

Today started out much like any other day BUT I spoke to Daddy today just after my lunch and I spoke to Mummy again too.

Nanny cooked me a really healthy lunch  of all my favourite vegetables...... carrots, beans, peas and mushrooms mixed with spaghetti and bolognaise sauce.  I'm a big girl now and don't need to be fed like a baby.  I can feed myself.  The spaghetti is really hard to pick up but it was all yummy.  Thank you Nanny.

After I spoke to Daddy and Mummy, Nanny and I went for a drive to find a new park.  We  went over the West Gate Bridge and along the edge of the bay.. We found a great little park with lots of different activities.  It had a sand pit too  which was fun because Nanny brought my bucket and spade along for me to play with.  There were two slippery dips.  A baby one which was a bit low and a bit slow for me and a big kids one with a bump in the middle.  It was lots of fun.  I had lots of slides on it.

It was very windy at the park so Nanny decided to go exploring again.  She drove all the way to St Kilda and then went to the house that Mummy and Daddy lived in before I was born.  I was asleep at the time but here is the picture.

When we got home Nanny gave me some pieces of icey pole in a bowl.  They were delicious.  Thank you Nanny for another happy and busy day... I will certainly sleep well tonight... Nighty Night...
