Day 19

Friday 30th March..

.Breakfast time and today I am sorting and counting balls of Nanny's knitting wool.  There are three of them.  I like the colours.... red, blue and black. 

Late yesterday Nanny and I went to the shops at Footscray.  Nanny bought me a new pair of jeans, a pretty smock and a packet of colourful singlets.  The white singlet has picture of a monkey on it.  Mummy and Daddy call me Cheeky Little Monkey sometimes.  Now I can wear a monkey singlet.   

While Nanny was hanging up the washing I had a chance to take some more photos for my project.  I am getting a good collection.

After breakfast we went to 'Jelly Bread' Cafe and there were lots of kids and mummies there.  I like playing in the caravan best..... but the shoes were annoying.  Why do I have to wear them all the time Nanny?

After lunch we went to the park  Those weeds are taking over the front garden Nanny but I like them.  They are fun to pick.  I like to let the seeds fly away.

Such a busy day today.  Nanny and I walked to Sean's park.  I am getting to be such a big girl.  Look, I can get up the climbing wall now all by myself.  Nanny helps me just in case I can't reach and keeps saying 'concentrate, concentrate' all the time. At the top of the climbing wall is the slippery dip.  That's best... Weeeeeeee.

Day 18

Thursday 29th March

 OMG Who would be a mother...  First thing in the morning... Out and walking the family.  Although Nanny didn't mention that Dolly had to be IN the stroller.... Phew ....  Up and Down the passage and Dolly didn't even care.... And look I'm wearing....  some old thing..

We were supposed to go to the what I call The Book Club which is held every Thursday at 11 o'clock down on Somerville Road.. but Nanny freaks out when we go and  I look at the kids books and test all the pens and pencils...What am I supposed to do ??  She says I should be listening to the stories and singing the songs... I get all that at home... and they are all such babies... They just sit there and do NOTHING....I like checking out all the books.   I learned about dinosaurs, tractors, magnets and multi coloured stamper pens when I was there last time.. Not just Rabbits which Is what the theme was that week,,, ...     SO we didn't go today.... Instead we did some cooking at home and made Muffins.  Mummy's friend Ella mentioned that muffins were a good kind of lunch .... So we made some... Good Try Nanny... although I notice you ate about 4 of them... I thought they were a little dense and could have had more seasoning... 

AND Nanny moved my chalk board into my bedroom...  (sigh) Nanny......

It's been a big day for me/// so Nighty Night....

Day 17

Wednesday 28th March

This is me with my new in flight bag.  I am practicing up and down the hall.   It is very busy at the air port and I don't want to have any problems.  I wonder where I am going.

Mummy's friend Ella text ed Nanny this morning to say that she and Ollie and Holly and Lennan were going to Kids Mania.. Wee.  I just love it there.  It is so big and there are so many things to do.  I wore my red top and Roberta's floral Harem pants.  You can't see them very well in this photo but they are perfect for the Activity Centre.  I can climb and play on all the activities but still look fashion forward and cool..  I am having a little snack in this picture.

After lunch Nanny and I went to the shops.  On my way to the car I had a look at the front garden.  I noticed some Dandelions in the lawn  These should come out Nanny, because they are weeds but they do have pretty yellow flowers and funny puffy seed heads.
  

 

After the shopping Nanny said that we were going to the park...BUT she took so long to get there that I fell asleep in my car seat.  Nanny you forgot the rules AGAIN... No photos when I am asleep please.  So embarrassing.
 
I think Nanny went for a little drive when I was asleep because I was in the car for a long time.  I heard her tell Mummy that she drove all the way to Williamstown.  Nanny called it exploring... Thinking of sitting in the car for such a long time still makes me feel  tired... Nighty Night..

I forgot to mention that just before dinner I spoke to Daddy on the computer.  That was fun.  He looked very pleased to see me........ 

Day 16

Tuesday 27th March

 Nanny and I went to the big shopping centre called High Point today.  We had a few things to get.  First we looked at shoes for me but I didn't like the ones that Nanny chose.  They were red leather with velcro straps.  Nanny thought they were beautiful but I thought the soles were too hard and clunky.  So Nanny put them back and bought a pair of black sneakers with very soft soles. I tried to tell Nanny that I had a pair like them at home but she just wouldn't listen.  The ones at home have flowers on them.  What is it with Nanny and shoes.  First the baby booties and now black sneakers!!   And she really struggles to put them on me too.,   I can get them off in seconds.  I just dont understand Nanny sometimes.

 Mummy said that I would be doing some traveling later in the month and thought I needed my own luggage.   Now I am a big girl I can look after my own things and I wont have to put them with Mummy's.  The bag that Nanny chose is blue with pictures of wild animals on it.  It has wheels so you can pull it along and a long handle sort of thing that you can hold onto.  I hope it holds all the things I need to take with me.   I am a bit doubtful.

After lunch Nanny lent me her camera and I was able to take some photos for my photography project.  This is a picture of my thumb.

Nanny is so lucky to have me as her helper.  She is building a set of shelves and I am trying them out for her.  They seem to fit alright.  What is she going to do with them?.  Maybe she will leave the shelves till Mummy gets home.  She'll know.  Mummies know everything.  That's about it for today... Day 15

Monday 26th March

 Hooray... Nanny said it was only 7 days till Mummy gets back.  I can't wait

.   
 Breakfast is a very special time for me and Nanny.   I like to practice my numbers and colours.  Today I was practicing the number 3.  Can you see?  I have 3 pieces of toast and three peggy beads.  Sometimes I count potatoes and sometimes I count the little spice bottles.

After breakfast Nanny moved a storage box under my bed room window so I can see outside.  I saw a man ride by on a bicycle and a lady with a dog.  There are all sorts of things happening outside my bedroom. 

We went to 'JellyBread'  today and there were some other kids there.  This little boy called Patrick gave me a ride in the wagon.  He was pulling the empty wagon around and I just got in...  He didn't seem to mind.  It was lots of fun.  

When we finished at 'JellyBread' Nanny and I went next door to the Vietnamese Shop.  We got 2 pairs of socks and 2 big plastic spoons.  I liked the stacks of baskets.  They were nearly as tall as me.   Off home we went for lunch and play time.  I spoke to Mummy again at dinner and then it was bath, bottle and bed.  Nighty Night......

Day 14

Sunday 25th March

Daddy is going to work this morning so I am helping Nanny do some tidying up.  I started with the new roll of pink bin liners that Mummy bought last week.   The roll is very long.  I measured it from my bedroom to the lounge room.  Nanny rolled it up again and put it back in my bedroom but I can't find it.  I don't think that's very fair do you?  AND Nanny didn't even say "Thank You, Lily" for my help.  I don't understand Nanny sometimes.

Nevermind....after lunch I took Nanny to the new park that Daddy and I went to yesterday.   It has a great big sand pit with lots of scoops and buckets.  Nanny helped me make a big hill with the sand.  I did some counting, went really high on the swing and had lots of slides on the slippery dip.  You can see the slippery dip behind me in the photo.  It is yellow.   I was a bit cross when we had to leave the park  There were so many more things I wanted to do...... BUT Nanny said we had to go and got really fussy..... She didn't talk to me at all as we drove home....

 When Nanny was putting my washing away I checked out some of my winter gear from last year and found THIS.  I hope I don't have to wear IT again.  I didn't like it last year and looking at this I still don't like it....  So baby and so 2011... perhaps a neat beret for this winter.. dudes... or maybe a hoodie...I have to work on my image in the play centre... NANNY!#?..  Anyway.... I have had a very big day and I am off to bed.... Nighty Night...

Day 13

Saturday 24th March

What a lucky girl I am.   Nanny is going into town 
to have lunch with her friend Jac and I'm having Daddy all to myself... all day.  
I wonder what we will be doing??    
Nanny dropped us off at Officeworks on her way into town because Daddy has some very important things to do there..

 This is a good time to tell you about what Nanny bought at Val and Jean's the other day....... a pair of navy blue knitted booties with red and white bows.  Such a baby thing... BOOTIES... Please Nanny...  I'm not a baby any longer.  Nanny even took the bows off and put in some woollen ties... so she can tie them onto my feet..  AND she was looking at them them very closely the other day.  I think she is going to knit me ANOTHER  pair... Oh Nanny.

Daddy took me to a new park today.  It has a sand pit and a big climbing frame.  I might take Nanny there one day.  She will enjoy it.  

Nanny had a little lie down when she got back home.  She must have had a big day.  Daddy gave me my dinner and my bath.  Then off to bed after I watched 'In The Night Garden'.  I love that show.  Upsy Daisy makes me laugh.  That's it for today... Nighty Night.....

Day 12

Friday 23rd March.

12 hours sleep again.... I am so busy each day that I just fall into bed each night... 

Nanny took me to the Activity Centre again today and we were so early that there was NO ONE there when we arrived.  

I could pick any thing I wanted.  There was even a play centre there like mine at home.  We have been twice now and I have a loyalty card so when we go next time Nanny will get a free coffee.

 







I liked the slippery dip the best.  I had lots and lots of slides.  I had to climb up a foamish kind of ladder and then walk along a ramp to get to the top of the slide.  


Then I sat down and woosh... down I went.  Teddy and I had so many goes.  I was really fast.  Too fast for Nanny. She couldn't get a picture of me... Just the top of my head.  Hahaha  Silly Nanny...

Some other kids came but they were only babies and couldn't go on the slippery dip like me..  They couldn't run from one thing to the next like me either.

Nanny and I went shopping at Aldi and Nanny played Hide and Seek with me while we were waiting in the line to be served.  Nanny couldn't find me.  I had to pull the towel off my head so she could find me.   I was there all the time under the red hand towel...  Silly Nanny.





You would think that Teddy would know better.  Daddy and Nanny said that it was dangerous to go behind the television stand.  There are all sorts of hurty things there and I learnt about them a long time ago.   It's just NOT safe... But what did Teddy do.. He just went there and looked at me as if to say "Look at Me!  Look where I am!!"  Naughty Teddy.. I just had to take him away and have a talk with him.  I hope he remembers tomorrow.  Bears!!

Day 11

Thursday 22nd March

Thursday today and Nanny is taking me to the Book Shop for some songs and stories.   

I like having my breakfast in the kitchen cause I can check out all the things there.  

Nanny let me taste test some of her favourite  spreads.  I tried peanut butter and vegemite today.    Vegemite is my favourite this morning.  I'll have that on my toast today.

Do you notice the pieces of apple Nanny uses to help me count?

I noticed that Daddy had left the box his new phone came in on the kitchen bar.  I thought I'd check it out to make sure he was doing everything the right way.   Nanny took the little head phone thingy and put it away safely for him.  Good on you Nanny.
Everything else checks out though..... BUT I still don't think he'll let me borrow his phone.  I've read the little book Daddy.  Maybe I can use it if he gets one of those great Kids Games that Mummy has.  














Nanny has got the Skype thing sorted at last.  Thank Heaven... It has taken so long... and everyone seems to get so fussy and anxious when they log on and I do too if they try to start talking near my meal times which they think is a good idea.   Why oh why..... Today Mummy called us at a sensible time and we had a wonderful time together.  Nanny is using her little travelling computer but Mummy is using her phone.  Isn't that a pip.





OOps  I forgot to mention the Book Store.   It was fun again.   There were so many kids and mums.  I was more interested in  the crayons and the coloured pens and that seemed to make Nanny a bit fussy and stop me checking them out.  Oh Nanny... We made a bunny today and mine is on the fridge door.

OMG   Nanny has bought me some new knitted slippers.    She has been to Val and Jean's again.... But I will keep that story for another time...

Day 10

Wednesday 21st March

Had a great night's sleep and up early for another day.

I forgot to mention yesterday that when it was time for my bath I thought I would give Honey Bunny a bath as well.   I don't think Nanny was pleased... She hung Honey Bunny on the clothes line... By his Ears...  That must have hurt him....  He was dry by the time I went to bed.

We are off to High Point today because Daddy is buying a new phone.    I wish he would buy me one then I wouldn't have to borrow Daddy's or Nanny's all the time. 

Home after shopping and lunch.... and then quiet time.  Daddy really likes his new phone.  It looks very smart but I don't think he will let me borrow it. 

Daddy took me to the park during the afternoon and there was a girl there that had an Upsy Daisy Doll.  Ssoooo Lucky... I wish I had one too.  Maybe I'll get one for my birthday. 

 













I forgot to show you the photos from the Elmo Show I went to on Saturday.  Here are some that Daddy took.  It was a terrific show and the first time I had been to the theatre.  Thank you Daddy for taking me and Thank you Mummy for getting the tickets.  I can't believe that those other kids in the photo aren't even watching... I loved every minute...

Yummy tuna, pasta and corn for dinner with frozen raspberries, banana and yoghurt for dessert. 


I think I had better give Teddy a bath tonight.. because Honey Bunny had one last night.

 

Thursday tomorrow so Nanny and I will be going to the Book Shop for some songs and stories...

Day 9

Tuesday 20th March


I though I would wake up a little earlier this morning.   7-15 is OK for me... Well that's 12 hours straight so Daddy and Nanny should be pleased... 

The Laundry Door

 

 You never know what each day has in store and today was wonderful.  I felt very creative today and started with a little 'free' photography for a project I am working on.  Nanny let me use her camera.  It's only a digital but I was pleased with the results.  

Then I spent some 'special time with Teddy because sometimes I think that I could spend more time with him... So we played with the wheel barrow... He enjoys that.... and then hung out in my cubby for a while.  I love Teddy.


I had a chance for more photography and then Nanny and I went to catch a coffee.... down at 'Petit Tou' which is a small coffee shop/kids play centre nearby.

 It's really just a place for babies but we had a coffee together and then we went home for lunch...... I took Teddy and I think he enjoyed himself.
Back home, lunch, a DVD and milk.

After lunch I did some sorting and tidying.  Nanny needed some help in the bathroom.  We need a new toilet roll Nanny.  .. so .embarressing.  




Well next is dinner, bath, Iggy Piggle and bed.  Phew... such a busy day.  No wonder I just fell asleep when Daddy took me to bed...  I hope they get the Skype thing sorted out... but for now.. Nighty Night

Day 8

Monday 19th March


A New Day and a New Week.
Nanny let me have my breakfast in the kitchen today...  Just Teddy and Hooty Hoot and me....  We were watching Jimmy Giggle and Hoot.   Nanny was doing the washing up and getting my snacks ready .  I think we are going Oouuutttt??

Taking Teddy for a ride

Yes I was right... Kidz Mania.... One of those great Kids Play Centres... AND we were so early I had all the toys to myself.  There were cars and slippery dips and a ball room and foam tunnels just for me.  I had a great time and Nanny did too.   We were there for over an hour and when we finished Nanny went to Aldi which is next door and bought some things for dinner.  I think Nanny will be back because it is so close to home and near Aldi as well... ...  

Daddy was home when we got back and I had lunch outside and played during the afternoon.  Nanny put on a DVD about Colours.  It was good.  I enjoyed it.

Nanny moved my change table next to the chest of drawers so it wouldn't wobble when I rock it and guess what she found underneath it.... "O"  We were very pleased.
I was really tired at dinner time and when Daddy put me to bed I just rolled over and said... Nighty Night...
