Day 21

Nanny and I were going into town today to see what was happening because there is always something interesting to see and do in Fed Square or along the river.... BUT Daddy suggested that we go to the Melbourne Museum instead.  It sounded a bit boring and I wasn't really keen but... I had a terrific day there.

There is an exhibition about Mesopotamia at the Museum and they have made some activity areas for kids.   At this one we could use foam shapes and blocks to build ziggurats which are big temples.  I liked this and Nanny helped me to share and take my turn with the other kids that were playing there.

There was a wall with a picture of an olden day village on it and there were pictures of people too.  You could move the people and put them in different places because there were magnets at the back of the pictures.  I am really good at this because I have lots of magnet letters and pictures on my fridge at home and I practice them every day when Nanny is cooking my dinner.

There was a place to read books and a place to do puzzles and a place to dress up in olden day clothes.

At the end was a display of animals.  This is a baby giraffe.... Look how tall it is.  There were lots of different animals and you could sit on some of them.

We went outside for a little while and there were all sorts of games that were from the olden days..... Hop scotch and skipping, hoola hoops and stilts.  I wasn't very good at any of them but played with the really big Lego blocks.
I built a tower bigger than me...
I wish I had some of those blocks.  They were great to use.

Nanny and I had lunch at the Museum and then I went to all the activities again.   After a while we left for home and I fell asleep on the way home.  It was such a busy day.
I was really tired... I hope we can go there again....
